Let’s Get Children Reading

Join a community of organizations working together to build a world of readers.

Worldreader is launching a second year of the Let’s Get Children Reading Grant to support community-based nonprofit organizations, schools and other learning institutions in engaging children and their families to read regularly. With Worldreader’s digital reading program, BookSmart, children and their caregivers have the required tools to build their reading skills through high-quality books, activities that reinforce reading skills in fun and interactive ways, and celebrations of their success.

Reading is transformative and it must start early. We know that caregivers are the first teachers and through early reading, they offer the key to lifelong learning. Join Worldreader in a Community of Practice to help us find creative approaches to engaging readers at home and in the community.

With an ambitious goal of reaching 75,000 children ages 3-12 and their families, and supporting them in completing 25 books a year, we’re looking for engagement approaches that work. This means working with children and their families through every intersection of their daily lives in order to improve reading comprehension and social-emotional learning, and we need your creativity and collaboration to make this happen. Apply now to join us in getting children reading!

This program is made possible through the generous support of Amazon.
